As we all know, the first five years of a child’s life are some of the most precious moments in their growth and development. From a child’s facial appearance to their adorable personalities, they’re continuously blossoming before our eyes. The thought alone dreads most parents of their little ones growing old and wish they could stay young forever. That’s why I think it’s so important to capture the true essence of children at these ages to preserve the beauty of their early beginnings, and what better way to do so through the lens of a photographer. I offer modern school photography to daycare, childcare, head start, and preschool students in the Los Angeles County area. My goal is to help you capture those moments that’ll live on for years to come. That’s the beauty of photographs! You can capture a moment in the present time to review later in the future whether it’s tomorrow, next year, or a decade from now.

There is beauty in both, and this style celebrates them as their authentic self.

I offer fine art portraits that include a private online gallery (password-protected) where parents can purchase digital files and/or print products. Digital files are delivered directly to their emails. Each child will be provided with 2-5 images presented in both color and black-and-white.

Yes! Three-four weeks prior to shoot day, I’ll need a school roster that lists children’s names along with their grade class (EX: Toddlers, Twos, Preschool, etc.) so I can immediately start with categorizing their photos into an online gallery. This will make it easier for parents when it’s time to make a purchase. I will also need some assistance from a staff member to usher the children one group at a time to the location of the photoshoot. I rely on a staff member to make sure the children's faces are clean and their hair is in place.

Upon arrival, I’ll set-up my equipment in the approved designated area near an open window. With the help of a staff member, I will ask to bring a group of children at a time, starting from the highest to lowest age group (EX: Kinderprep to Infants). I will stay stationed in one area throughout everyone’s photoshoot to remain consistent.

Yes. I'll be bringing a background stand with nude/tan seamless paper, along with a chair or props I might need to photograph children safely.

The majority of photos will be taken from the waist and above (headshots), so you'll see very little of their clothing. I use a nude/tan backdrop, and usually any pastel or earth tone colors will match well together. Try to stay away from bright colors like yellow and any neon colors. These colors tend to leave a color cast on your face. Also avoid graphics. Solid colors or outfits with light pattern works best. The most important thing is to select something that your child feels comfortable and confident in.

Depending on the size of schools, it may take 4-6 weeks for parents to view their child’s gallery. Once the gallery is delivered, parents have the option to purchase digital files and/or print products. Digital files are delivered directly to their emails. Printing products may take an additional 2 weeks from order date. Once the gallery expires in two weeks, I order the print products in a bulk to help keep shipping cost low for parents. Purchase products will be delivered to the child’s school for parents to pick-up.
